Jade Collins is a 20-year-old student at Louisiana State University, otherwise known as the best school in the country. After three semesters of being a pre-med major, she made the decision to switch her major to Mass Communications Public Relations with a minor in business administration. Collins knew her entire life that she wanted to go to LSU and experience everything that it had to offer her, and that’s exactly what she’s been doing.
Collins is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and a founding member of Love Your Melon LSU Chapter. She has always valued education and made it a priority in her life. Love Your Melon is a group that is focused primarily on raising money and awareness for childhood cancer.
Jade grew up in a small town in Louisiana named Destrehan. She went to Destrehan Highschool where she spent almost all of her time at dance practice. Jade attended Dance Nationals in 2012 where her and her team won 14th place nationally.
